Sheep in setting sun

The days continue to get longer, as my time here continues to dwindle. So, I've started to take evening bike rides, stretching each possible moment of daylight into opportunities for exploration! The other night I left my house at 8:15pm and set off, heading in a completely new direction. This is what I stumbled upon:
Heading out on my bike....
I was feeling extra adventurous and turned down a trail...
...and found a beautiful pasture!
And then found the sheep! (If you remember from an earlier post, they were kept in a small field all winter... )
Now they are out grazing in a much bigger pasture!
I watched them for a while as the sun started to set...
Then continued on...
The sky was getting more and more dramatic!
And I got to practice riding my bike around turns with no hands (#2 item on my bucket list... don't worry parents, I am wearing my helmet here, too!)
I found a GORGEOUS park!...
Where I sat and watched the sun set...
Remarkably, I made it back to my house as the last of the sunlight faded from the sky (at around 9:30pm), feeling refreshed and ready to take on preparations for my HUGE exam, 2 presentations, and paper due this week. I have to say I think I was about 100x more productive having escaped outside for a break. My evening cycling rides have become a way for me to keep things in perspective as I cope with stress of finals and with getting ready to go home... they remind me just how much I've learned here (i.e. that I can get around my neighborhood with ease) and just how much I still have to explore (which is why I know I will be back!) :-)
